<p>Michael Allen Jenkins – Gate City, VA</p>
<p>Michael Allen Jenkins, 54, Gate City, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Russell County Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.</p>
<p>Mike was born in Spokane, WA on August 17, 1957, the son of Charles Jenkins and Reta Fern Cooney Smith.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Jenkins.</p>
<p>Surviving are his wife, Denise A. Jenkins, Gate City, VA; sons, Jason Jenkins and wife, Stacie, Gate City, VA, Brandon Jenkins, Sumpter, SC, and Taylor Jenkins, Gate City, VA; grandsons, Carson and Parker Jenkins, parents, Jimmy and Reta Smith, Duffield, VA; brother, Randy Jenkins, Mt. Carmel, TN; nephew, Grayson Jenkins; and paternal grandmother, Opal Smith, Duffield, VA.</p>
<p>The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Higher Ground Baptist Church, Lynn Garden. Funeral services will be begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. Phil Hoskins and Greg Carlyle officiating. Chuck Odum and the Higher Ground Choir will provide the music.</p>
<p>Military Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA by the American Legion Hammond Post #, Kingsport, TN and Post #265 of Gate City, VA, assisted by members of the Virginia Army National Guard Honor Guard. Mike Jenkins Evangelistic Association Board Members, Wiley Webb, Doug Humphreys, Rev. W. A. Johnson, Terry Kilgore, Chris Bowen, Dr. Steve Yallourakis, Scottie Vermillion and Danny Humphreys will serve as pallbearers.<br />
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to MJEA Feed Africa Mission Fund, P.O. Box 1828, Gate City, VA 24251.<br />

<p>Halsey Laurence Rogers, 82, of Dublin, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Beacon Place Hospice in Greensboro, NC. He was a retired minister and missionary for the International Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 56 years. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Margaret Bishop Rogers, two brothers and spouses, Joe and Harriet Rogers, Troutville, VA, and Doyle and Bertha Rogers, Shippensburg, PA, brother-in-law and spouse, James and Brenda Bishop, Greensboro, NC, sisters-in-law and spouses, Aileen and Lowell Collins, Ridgeway, VA, Marie and Winston Hollingsworth, Madison, Ala., and Yvonne Green, Gainesville, GA, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Family Worship Center in Pulaski, VA, with the Rev. Edward Wood, Rev. C.R. Conner, Bishop Preston Mathena and Bishop Doug Beacham officiating. Interment will follow in the Pentecostal Holiness Conference Cemetery in Dublin. <p>We are very sorry to inform you that Pastor R. D. Vaught passed away January 13, 2012. He was an Ordained minister and pastor of the Merrimac PHC. Below is his obituary and information regarding the arrangements.</p>
<p>Blacksburg, VA – Rev. R.D. Vaught age 65 of Blacksburg, VA passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at Lewis Gale Hospital – Blacksburg. Born October 28, 1946 at Beckley, WV he was the son of the late Rufus and Ruth Pinson Vaught. R.D. was the pastor of Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church, Blacksburg, VA and had been a pastor at Monroe, NC, Meadow View, VA and Matheny, WV. He loved to fly and enjoyed his career in the ministry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Richard Blankenship. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Carol Dameron Vaught, four sons, Steve Blankenship and wife Missi of Kingsport, TN, Stephen Vaught and wife Jai of Elkhart, IN, Phillip Vaught and wife April of Rich Creek, VA and Todd Blankenship and wife Sally of Johnson City, TN, two brothers, Mike Vaught of Monroe, NC and Kenneth Vaught of Bluff City, TN, one sister Debbie Fox of Bristol, VA and ten grandchildren.</p>

<p>We are sorry to inform you that Dwight (Rick) Harless, 58, of Alum Creek went home on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at CAMC-Memorial Division after a long illness. Rev. Harless was the former pastor of Rose of Sharon PHC.<br />
He was preceded in death by his dad, Leighton.<br />
He was the original founder of Air Conditioning Design, Inc., and pastor/evangelist in the surrounding area for more than 35 years. He was a man after God’s own heart, and served in the US Army.<br />
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol; daughters Angela Nicole (Steven) Carter, York, SC, and Cheryl (Rodney) Jackson, Folly Beach, SC; Son, Charles David (Lisa) Harless, South Charleston; Preston Dwight Harless at home; stepdaughter, Talisa Burdette, Charleston; mother, Virginia Evelyn Harless of Alum Creek; sisters, Mary (Arthur) Smith, Wickliff, OH, Nora Harless, Charlotte, NC; brothers, Bruce (Debbie) Harless, South Charleston; brothers; Billy (Becky) Harless, Fort Mohave, AZ, Bob (Anissa), Big Chimney; five grandchildren: Cameron, Brook, Daisy, Chase and Blake.<br />

Fannin who passed away in his sleep while in Ukraine Sunday night. David was the<br />
Eastern Europe/Middle East Regional Missions Director.</p>
